I had the pleasure of presenting a copy of my book Yugoslavia: Utopia or Inspiration? to Her Excellency, Ms. Anke Konrad, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Serbia.
The meeting took place at the German Embassy in Belgrade on November 6, 2025, initiated by Mr. Alexander Markus, Executive Director of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (AHK Serbia), who kindly recommended the book after reading it.
Ambassador Konrad expressed genuine interest in the historical, social, and cultural context of the work, as well as in its reflections on reconciliation and dialogue within the former Yugoslav and broader European framework.
As an author dedicated to reconciliation and bridge-building, I believe that history—when approached with honesty and empathy—can become a solid foundation for peace, and that a future built on mutual respect can connect us in lasting ways.
